The Association of Nurses of Ukraine (ASU) was established in May 1997 as a voluntary, self-governing all-Ukrainian public organization. Its goal is to protect the social, creative, economic interests of junior medical specialists, increase their professional qualifications and support the priority of humanitarian values of nursing.
ASU also plays the role of a link between the Ministry of Health of Ukraine and regional, specialized Ukrainian associations of nurses, as well as the role of a national institute for the development of standards and norms in the field of nursing.
In order to fulfill its statutory goals and objectives, the Association holds conferences and seminars on topical problems of nursing, protects the legal rights and interests of its members, together with state organizations, develops programs for the development of nursing.

UAUD unites specialists with higher and middle education, busy at practical, research and education activity in industry of ultrasound diagnostic on a voluntary basis.
The purpose of activity of the UAUD is combining effort its members for an assistance creation of optimum terms of development of ultrasound diagnostic and diapevtic, maximal realization of creative potential of medical public in aims to decision of theoretical, practical and scientific issues of the ultrasound diagnostic and diapevtic. The UAUD assists development of priority directions of scientific researches in hight ultrasound technologies, to strengthening of science connection with practice, to education of their members, to propaganda of the achievements of the ultrasound diagnostic: 2D, 3D and 4D-visualization, dopplerography, elastography, contrast enhanced US, telemedicine and informatization.
One of the current challenges is to strengthen the link between ultrasound diagnostics and clinicians, in particular the certified development of certain professions: obstetrics and gynaecology, cardiology, surgery and anaesthetics, Ortho and Trauma, Family Medicine.
