It was revealed: the stages of development and more than 110 years of institute experience concerning the treatment and rehabilitation of patients with spine and joints disorders. The results of the solving of fundamental and supplied problems concerning vertebrology, arthrology, joint and spine replacement, bone oncology, bone reparative regeneration, osteosynthesis, transplantology, working out and usage of implants made from modern biomaterials, experimental modeling, clinical biomechanics, orthotics, amputation surgery around joints, bracing, various orthopedic means as well other urgent problems of treatment and prevention of mentioned above pathology in adults and children. The exploratory works of the Institute regarding modern aspects of the treatment and rehabilitation of injured persons with combat damage of musculo-skletal system.

The main activities of the Institute are the follows: eye diseases and eye injuries study of epidemiology, clinic and pathogenesis, working out of the prophylactic methods, patient’s treatment and rehabilitation; new tissue preparation’s study and working out; the organization of ophthalmologic care to the population of Ukraine.
V. Danilesky Institute for Endocrine Pathology Problems of the NAMS of Ukraine, SI
It was founded in 1919 in Kharkiv by outstanding scientist V.Y. Danilevskiy as therapeutic institute. It is submitted by 4 research units and 5 clinical departments. The main areas of research: activity are the epidemiology, clinical manifestations of endocrine diseases, development and improvement of methods of diagnosis, prevention and treatment, the study of the mechanisms of endocrine function and metabolism regulation in normal and pathological conditions; the development, experimental and clinical study of drugs.

Areas of research work: study the mechanisms of hormonal action; study the etiology, pathogenesis, clinics of diabetes, thyroid and adrenal diseases; develop new trends in the treatment of these diseases and their prevention; study of radiation exposure on endocrine glands; search for new preparations for the treatment of endocrine diseases. Areas of clinical work: give a specialized consultative-diagnostic and therapeutic-preventive assistance to the population with endocrine pathology. The Institute’s staff numbers 222 Researchers, 25 Doctors, 61 Candidates of Sciences. The Clinic comprises 174 beds allowing to hospitalize more than 4000 patients per year. From 1986 the Institute was headed by M.D. Tronko, Prof., Academician of Acad. Med. Sci. and Cor. Member of Natl. Acad. Sci. of Ukraine.
